Spaces to Study & Connect!

Campus Hangouts

Looking for a place to study, relax, connect with friends, or take a break between classes? Viterbo University offers a variety of spaces where students can gather, recharge, and enjoy campus life. Whether you need a quiet place to focus, a comfortable spot to meet with friends, or somewhere to unwind between classes, there are spaces across campus to fit your needs.

The spaces featured on this page represent just a handful of the places available to students at Viterbo. Explore these areas to discover new places to study, socialize, collaborate, or simply take a break and enjoy your time on campus!

The Student Union

The Student Union is a central campus hub and a go-to place for students to study, socialize, and take part in campus activities. With 24/7 ID card access, the Union is always available when you need a place to relax or get things done.

Students living on campus can access their mailboxes here, and the Union is also home to the Campus Bookstore and The Pod C-Store. Looking for something to do? Check out the game lounge, featuring air hockey, ping pong, and foosball, or browse Vic’s Video lending library and enjoy a movie on the big-screen TV. Computer and printing stations and additional study spaces are also available.

Whether you're meeting up with friends, attending a WAVU event, studying, or simply looking for somewhere to hang out, the Student Union has something for everyone.

The Port

Tucked away in the lower level of Marian Hall, The Port is a quieter, lesser-known hangout space that’s a little off the beaten path. It’s a great place to get away from the busier areas of campus, take a break, study, or spend some time with friends.

If you’re looking for a more relaxed and low-key atmosphere, The Port is a hidden gem worth discovering. Stop by, settle in, and enjoy a little downtime between classes or activities.

The Hawk’s Nest

Located on the first floor of Marian Hall, the Hawk’s Nest is a student lounge designed for relaxing, connecting, studying, and having fun. With entrances from Marian Courtyard and the corner of Franciscan Way, it’s an easy place to stop by throughout your day.

Challenge a friend to a game of billiards or table tennis, play video games, grab a board game, or relax in front of the big-screen TVs. When it’s time to focus, study tables, computers, and printing access are available.

Best of all, the Hawk’s Nest is open 24/7 for Viterbo students, making it a convenient place to hang out no matter what your schedule looks like. It’s also a great spot for club meetings, floor events, or simply spending time with friends.

Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry is a welcoming place where students can come together to explore their faith, discover their purpose, and build meaningful connections. Rooted in the belief that everyone has a unique purpose in the eyes of God, Campus Ministry provides opportunities for reflection, community, conversation, and spiritual growth.

Whether you're looking for a quiet place to reflect, hoping to connect with others, or exploring questions about faith and purpose, Campus Ministry offers a space where you can come as you are and be part of the Viterbo community.
