Healthy Living Week at Viterbo University is a campus-wide initiative dedicated to promoting wellbeing through physical activity, mental health awareness, and balanced lifestyle choices. This year’s theme, "Move Your Mood," highlights the powerful connection between movement and mental wellness. Through a variety of events and activities, students are encouraged to engage in fun, energizing ways to boost their mood, reduce stress, and build healthy habits that support their overall well-being, both in and out of the classroom.

Week Long Activities

Movement Challenge 

Get ready to step into wellbeing with the 8,000+ Steps Challenge during Healthy Living Week! Open to both students and employees, this Monday–Friday challenge encourages you to reach 8,000 steps or more each day. Track your steps and submit your daily total to earn a raffle entry—one entry per day means more chances to win the more you participate! There will be separate raffles for students and employees, with a massage gun as the grand prize. Lace up your shoes, get moving, and feel the mood-boosting benefits of staying active! Register here

Hydration Challenge 

Sponsored by HAWCs, students can be entered into a raffle for a Owala water bottle and liquid IV hydration packets. One entry/student/day, Monday- Friday. Shoot for 11-15 cups/day but any amount works. Submit your entry here. 

The Library

Visit the Calming Corner outside of Murphy 110 where you can do some crafting, have some candy, read a book, or even take a quick cat nap. Check out the library’s display of books on good nutrition, exercise, and mental health to support healthy living or sit and relax a bit while working on a puzzle next to the cozy fireplace at the Puzzle Place.
