How it works: 

  • Everyday there is a new prompt
  • Each day you participate equals one entry toward the drawing for a wellbeing gift basket. 
  • Enter by filling out the survey.  
  • One entry/person/day with the exception of a Friday bonus challenge. 
Week 1 Prompts: Foundations of Gratitude
  1. What’s one simple thing today that brought you peace, joy, or comfort?
  2. Name a space on campus where you feel most at ease or inspired—what makes it special?
  3. What part of your daily routine helps you feel grounded and present?
  4. What resource (book, technology, tool, or place) are you grateful for in your academic life?
  5. What’s one part of being at a small college that you appreciate more now than when you started?
  6. How has your environment (residence hall, office, classroom) contributed to your well-being this week?
  7. What is something small you did today that aligns with your personal values?

Friday Bonus Prompt: Check out the gratitude board located around campus. 

Week 2 Journal Prompts: People and Connection
  1. Who on campus (professor, staff, student, etc.) has made you feel seen or welcomed recently?
  2. Think of someone who offers quiet support behind the scenes—how do they make a difference?
  3. Who consistently shows up with kindness or generosity, and what have you learned from them?
  4. Recall a time you received honest, respectful feedback—how did it help you grow?
  5. What does “hospitality” look like in your daily life here—and how have you received or offered it?
  6. Who models integrity in the way they lead, learn, or serve? What impact have they had on you?
  7. Write about someone you’ve worked or studied with who helped you succeed in a small but meaningful way.

Week 3 Journal Prompts: Growth and Reflection
  1. What is a recent personal or academic challenge you’re grateful for—and why?
  2. How have you grown in your understanding of what it means to serve others?
  3. What habit, mindset, or belief have you outgrown—and what are you thankful for about that change?
  4. Think of a mistake you made that helped you become more self-aware or responsible.
  5. What personal strength have you relied on most this semester—and how has it served you?
  6. How do you practice stewardship over your time, energy, or responsibilities—and what are you learning from that?
  7. What’s one way you hope to carry a spirit of gratitude into the rest of the year?

Friday Bonus Challenge: Take a walk and reflect on what you are grateful for.
