Italy: Franciscan Leadership Pilgrimage (March 4–15, 2026)
RLST 261: Theological Foundations of Franciscan Leadership (Assisi)
Students will participate in a pilgrimage/immersion experience in Rome, Viterbo, and Assisi with the intention of deepening the overall learning experience. Concepts that students will come away with include a Franciscan perspective of leadership as service; the common good; acceptance and empathy, moral leadership; community.

Zamora, Spain (May 17–June 14, 2026)
SPAN 301/400 and ENG 252: Cultural Studies in a Spanish Speaking World
Designed to explore the social realities and cultures of this Spanish region through interaction with native speakers, exploration of historic sites, visiting cities and small towns like Madrid and Salamanca, while also experiencing museums, theatres, concerts, and local markets. Students can earn up to 6 credits.

Clinical Experience in Zamora, Spain (May 16–30, 2026) – Nursing students only
NURS 413: Integrative Care for Diverse Communities
Participate in community projects to eliminate loneliness among the elderly. Partner with nursing students from University of Salamanca, Zamora Spain. Take day excursions and experience the culture through visits to schools, markets, architectural sites, museums, and restaurants.

South Africa (May 12–29, 2026)
ECAS 305: Resistance and Reconciliation in South Africa
South Africa stands as a witness to the power of social movements to not only imagine but also bring into being a more just and compassionate world. Learn how South Africans draw on religion, music, and global justice movements to resist and rise from the violence of Apartheid, the AIDS and COVID epidemics, climate change, and persistent economic inequities.

Study the components of the Mediterranean diet and how this diet is able to reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Study sports nutrition and how it can be applied to the Mediterranean diet.
