Course: NUTR 486/586: Sports Nutrition and the Mediterranean Diet (3 credits) OR: INTP 481/444: Interpreting Practicum (1 or 3 credits); NUTR 466 or NUTR 566 
Pre-requisites: Attendance and participation in NUTR/INTP classes during Spring 2023 semester
Acceptance to Spain 2024 study abroad program
Travel Dates: May 14 - May 31, 2024
Program Leaders:  Maria Morgan-Bathke and Michelle Pinzl
Housing: Shared living with Viterbo students in local homestays
Estimated Cost: $5,300 - $5,600 per participant*

*Based on a realistic estimate of participants. Fees may change based on final enrollment and/or exchange rate fluctuation.
Cost includes international airfare, accommodations, some in-country transportation, cultural activities, international health insurance, and most meals.
Cost does not include passport fees, vaccination fees, personal spending money, some meals or trip/travel insurance.
**Financial aid may be able to be applied. Please contact the Financial Aid Office and Study Abroad Office to learn more about how the program costs are applied.

  • $200 Application Deposit sent or turned into the Business Office, MRC 214

  • A one-page, single-spaced, typed personal statement addressing the following:

    • What motivates you to seek this particular experience?

    • What do you believe makes you a good fit for this particular program? Consider here not only how the program might influence you, but also how your strengths might enhance the experience for your peers, those you meet along the way, etc.
