Viterbo gave Nancy Allen '84 a second chance at a college education, and she came back to the university 25 years ago to give her music students the kind of love and attention she got from her teachers. Allen is retiring at the end of the 2022-23 school year.

He turns his piercing blue eyes to each class member as their turn to speak comes, a gaze so intense it feels like he knows what you’re about to say but still can’t wait to hear you say it.
