Family Day is a chance for Viterbo families to spend meaningful time together, experience campus life, and make memories with the V-Hawk community. From serving together through local service projects to cheering on Viterbo Athletics and enjoying a night of family bowling, there’s something for everyone. We invite families to join us for a day filled with connection, service, and Viterbo spirit!

  • Family Day Service Saturday:   
    • Join Viterbo students, families, and community members for this annual tradition of giving back through local service projects. 
    • Students and their families should coordinate their online registration to ensure they select the same service project. Projects fill quickly. Register early to secure your preferred placement. 
    • Registration deadline: Thursday, October 1.  
    • Check-in: Begins at 8:45 a.m. in the Nursing Lobby 
    • Service projects: 9:45–11:45 a.m. 
    • Participants will enjoy a free lunch in the caf after service.

  • Noon- Women's Soccer Game: Women’s Soccer takes on Olivet Nazarene University (IL) at our outdoor athletic complex. 
  • 1 p.m. Women's Volleyball Game: Women's Volleyball takes on Saint Xavier University (IL) at the Varsity Athletics Center.   
  • 1-3 p.m. Day of Prayer with FSPA- Those participants in the Family Day of Service and others are welcome to join the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and their affiliates for prayer, reflection, community and fun.  Registration is required. 
  • 3 p.m. Pet Blessing at the Dancing Francis Statue, Assisi Courtyard
  • 6-10 p.m. Enjoy Free Family Bowling: Join WAVU for free bowling at Pla-Mor Lanes with Neon Bowling beginning at 8:00 p.m. Located just a few short blocks from campus (807 4th St. S., La Crosse, WI 54601), it's an easy walk or quick drive. Simply tell the front desk you' are attending Viterbo Family Day, and CREW will cover up to two games of bowling for your group! 
  • 7:30 p.m. Transitus Prayer Service, San Damiano Chapel. Experience this beloved Franciscan tradition as we remember the passing of St. Francis of Assisi through prayer, song, scripture, and reflection, celebrating a life devoted to God, service, and peace
