Get Ready for Student Transition and Registration (STAR)!

STAR is a time to kick-start your experience as a V-Hawk! The Viterbo community is eager to welcome you to campus and help get you ready for the fall!

During STAR, you will:

  • Register for your fall classes with the help of an academic advisor.

  • Take your ID photo.

  • Attend exploratory sessions about student support services and campus engagement opportunities.

  • Learn about academic standards and expectations.

  • Connect with your new classmates.

  • Begin to build confidence and ease anxiety about the transition to college.

  • Introduce your parents/supporters to the Viterbo University community and help them learn about issues that affect you as a student.

As a new incoming first-year student, you are required to attend one of the in-person registration days. Parents/guests are also invited and encouraged to attend with you.

STAR Dates for 2024

Sign-up for one date! Tentative itineraries for each day run from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Registration Information

In addition to signing up for your STAR date, incoming students must submit mandatory forms and complete any required placement testing before registering for classes. See the links below for additional information.

Unable to attend?

STAR is a required event for our incoming first-year students, so if you are unable to attend one of the in-person dates above, we will offer an "in absentia" option where students may register with an academic advisor remotely. Sign-up for in absentia registration here. An academic advisor will reach out to you to schedule your appointment.
