Viterbo Alumna’s Legacy Lives On
The family members of the late Viterbo University alumna Susan Masewicz ’74 had gathered in Seattle to attend a memorial service held in her honor by her co-workers. To say the least, they were surprised with what they heard. “It blew us away,” her brother Marty Masewicz said. “We knew she worked hard, but we didn’t know how important the work she was doing was.
“Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making it possible for students like me to make the most of their college education. Your selfless actions have inspired me to someday affect someone else’s life as you have touched mine.”

Young Alumnus Establishes Scholarship at Viterbo University
Nick Johnson said he feels a debt of gratitude to Viterbo University. He has expressed his appreciation by creating a scholarship to help Viterbo students. The Nicholas A. Johnson Scholarship for Student Leadership will provide two annual $1,000 awards for a male and female outstanding athlete who are involved in service to the student body through leadership in service organizations.
Students, staff and faculty are invited to submit nominations for the Outstanding Student Leader Award. This award will be presented to 3 to 5 students at the Student Leadership Recognition Banquet. Written nominations must provide the name of the a senior student and evidence that she or he has: (a) exhibited continuous exemplary leadership, (b) served as well-respected role models, and (c) has persistently demonstrated a strong commitment to campus life, community service and/or charitabl
