VITERBO UNIVERSITY WINTER COMMENCEMENT DEC. 13
LA CROSSE, Wis. – One hundred thirty-one students, 87 undergraduate, 28 master’s degree, and 16 doctorate degree, will be candidates for graduation at Viterbo University’s Winter Commencement Ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
Dr. Tonya Wagner, vice president for academic affairs and institutional effectiveness, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Grace Zinda, a marketing major from Watertown, will give the undergraduate student address and EdD in Ethical Leadership doctorate student Derek Freese of Stillwater, Minn., will deliver the graduate student address.
Viterbo President Dr. Rick Trietley will confer the degrees and Dr. Daisy Figueroa, faculty member and associate dean of the School of Education, will present the candidates.
The diplomas will be awarded by President Trietley and Board of Trustees Chair John McHugh. Board of Trustees member John Lyche will provide congratulatory remarks. Vice President Wagner will lead the Prayer of St. Francis and university chaplain Fr. Conrad Targonski, OFM, will give the benediction.
A Baccalaureate Mass will be held that morning at 9 a.m. in San Damiano Chapel. Fr. Targonski will preside at the liturgy. The Nursing Pinning Ceremony will be in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre at 1 p.m.
The commencement and pinning ceremonies will be livestreamed on YouTube.
