Viterbo Rings

Viterbo community members were very successful as bells ringers for the Salvation Army, collecting $5,436.77 during “Viterbo Rings” Nov. 19. Approximately 170 Viterbo students, employees, and alumni volunteers served at 16 Salvation Army Red Kettle locations throughout La Crosse and Onalaska over the course of the day.

Students in Kari Reyburn’s section of VUSM Serving the Common Good, who hosted a Neighborhood Fall Bash on behalf of the La Crosse Area Family Collaborative (LAFC) Nov. 20 at the La Crosse Public Library. The event provided free chili and dinner rolls, crafts, games, and an opportunity to take a professional family portrait.

Contribute to Food for Finals

Administrative Assembly is again sponsoring the popular Food for Finals for students. Three locations will be available during finals week for students to grab a snack as they study for their exams—the Academic Resource Center, Reinhart Center Commons, and the library.

Empty Bowls Chili Fundraiser Wednesday

Chili bowlsThe art club’s Empty Bowls Chili Fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 in the Fine Arts Center Hospitality Suite.

The event will feature handmade bowls and homemade chili. Cost is $10 and includes the bowl, chili refills, and beverages.

Countdown to Commencement

The 9th Street Singers, under the direction of Brett Robison, performed at Countdown to Commencement Nov. 17. Students who will graduate in December had the opportunity to pick up their cap and gown, order graduation announcements, record a Shout Out to family and friends and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.
