Clement Puts Basketball, Classroom Skills into Action

Recent graduate Alex Clement has fond memories of sinking three-pointers for the Viterbo University men’s basketball team, and crunching numbers with his accounting classmates at the Dahl School of Business.

Viterbo recreation staff understand that as people return to campus, they are excited to return to the Mathy Center. Currently the facility is still closed, but they are looking to reopen sometime in August. More information on a specific date will be shared via social media and VU Today.

Letter to Viterbo Nursing Program Constituents
On Oct. 5–7, 2020, the Viterbo University School of Nursing will host a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) virtual accreditation review and evaluation of our baccalaureate (traditional 4-year BSN and BSN Completion) and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. 
Cherry Lommen Leaves Legacy of Support for Viterbo
Cherry Lommen, a champion of Viterbo, kids, and community, died July 15. She was on Viterbo’s Board of Advisors as well as devoting her energy to organizations including Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse, Ronald McDonald House, Chileda, and Family and Children's Center.

With the departure of the academic affairs VP, a new leadership structure has been set up to strengthen the connection between academic affairs and student afffairs, with Rick Trietley as interim provost and Sara Cook as interim associate provost for 2020-21.

The Saint John XXIII program is one of the major projects supported by the Viterbo Board of Advisors and includes a prestigious award and an endowed scholarship fund for Viterbo students that has presented $19,000 in scholarships since its inception.

Nobody planned on a pandemic that would force a campus shutdown and nationwide unrest over racism and social injustice when Viterbo University launched its strategic planning process last year. As it turns out, the plan is well suited to changing priorities to deal with these new issues.
Viterbo Athletics Program on Track for Fall Semester
If Viterbo classes are conducted in person on campus as planned, the fall V-Hawks athletics schedule will proceed, too, with adaptations, alterations, and new policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all involved.
