The Viterbo University Fine Arts Center will delay holding university-sponsored public events, including Bright Star and NexStar Season performances and lectures, until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Taking a break from the busy schedule of an internationally acclaimed opera singer, Matt Boehler ’98 returned to his alma mater in November 2019 to perform a recital and spend several days working with students. It was a special homecoming he very much enjoyed.

As a singer, Ann Schoenecker has applied her supple soprano voice to everything from opera to oratorio to musical theatre throughout the United States and Europe. Before coming to Viterbo, where she chairs the music department, Schoenecker taught at the Performing Arts Studios in Vienna, Austria, Luther College, the University of Minnesota, the University of Missouri.
The 2019–20 Viterbo University Out-of-Our-Minds Chamber Music Series will continue at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19 as pianist Mary Ellen Haupert and flutist Jonathan Borja perform Defining Dates in the Fine Arts Center Nola Starling Recital Hall.
