Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Announces 2026–27 Performing Arts Season

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Legendary Artists. Unforgettable Performances. The Viterbo University Fine Arts Center has announced its 2026–27 season lineup and tickets go on sale Friday, June 12 and Monday, June 15.

“We are proud to present a lineup that celebrates music, imagination, storytelling, and spectacle in exciting new ways,” said Dillon McArdle, director of the Viterbo Fine Arts Center. From the legendary sound and unmistakable charm of Lyle Lovett and his Small Large Band to the stage debut of Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock LIVE, this season invites audiences of every generation to experience the magic of live performance.”

The productions are divided into four categories again this season, Bright Star, Weber Center for the Performing Arts, Viterbo Conservatory for the Performing Arts, and Special Presentations.

Public group sales for Viterbo Fine Arts Center’s Bright Star and Weber Center shows begin at 2 p.m. Friday, June 12 in person at the box office or by phone at 608-796-3100. Ten tickets or more per show will receive 10% off single ticket prices, or otherwise noted for a specific performance. Single tickets for Bright Star and Weber Center shows go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday, June 15 online at www.viterbo.edu/tickets, in person at the box office, or by phone at 608-796-3100. Conservatory shows go on sale six weeks prior to a production’s opening night.

The Bright Star Season features national recording artist Lyle Lovett and his Small Large Band, That Arena Rock Show, and TUSK: The Classic Tribute to Fleetwood Mac this summer. In the fall, the Bright Star Season will continue with the family-friendly Jim Henson’s FRAGGLE ROCK Back to the ROCK LIVE, The Boulevards, the UK’s No.1 Rock and Roll Experience, The Carpenters Songbook: A Live Celebration that features a full band and heartfelt storytelling, Outlander in Concert: Echoes Through the Highlands as a live orchestra performs Bear McCreary’s score, curated by Matthew B. Roberts, against breathtaking scenes from the series, the world’s premiere Journey tribute band VOYAGE and the unique blend of classical and hip-hop music of Black Violin. The series continues in January with the comedy Triple Expresso, the classic sounds of Listen To Her Heart: The Tom Petty Experience, the gravity-defying amazement of The Peking Acrobats, the longtime lead vocalist for the band Chicago, Jason Scheff, Cirque Kalabanté—WOW-World of Words, and the folk, Americana, and bluegrass of the much acclaimed The Wailin’ Jennys.

The Weber Center for the Performing Arts Season will open with Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats. It will continue with the Celtic music and dance of the Tartan Tenors, the incredible vocals of American Idol finalist Crystal Stark as she presents the Whitney Houston tribute Whitney: One Moment in Time Starring Crystal Stark, and the powerhouse musicians of the classic rock The Supertramp Tribute.

The classic Cole Porter musical Kiss Me, Kate will kick off the Viterbo Conservatory for the Performing Arts season. It will be followed by The Thanksgiving Play, the annual holiday music performance A Viterbo Christmas 2026: Awake My Soul, the beautiful music of the Seven Rivers Choral Festival, the hilarious and heartfelt musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, performances of the Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Rossini’s Il Signor Deluso operas, one of American theatre’s most beloved plays, Our Town by Thornton Wilder, the poignant musical Alice By Heart, and the annual electrifying celebration of movement and creativity, Dance Kaleidoscope. The season will conclude with the Viterbo choirs’ performance of To Be Certain of the Dawn, A Moving Holocaust Remembrance Oratorio.

This year’s special presentations are Dave Marck and Friends present Jazz Goes to the Movies—A Celebration of Music and Film and the La Crosse Dance Centre’s 37th Annual  Nutcracker Ballet.
