VITERBO UNIVERSITY CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING TO OFFER SERVANT LEADERSHIP AND COACHING ONLINE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM JAN. 29–MARCH 2
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Center for Professional Learning will offer an online certificate program in Servant Leadership and Coaching Monday, Jan. 29–Saturday, March 2. New learning modules will be posted weekly.
Servant Leadership and Coaching is specifically tailored for coaches and athletic directors. The program will focus on developing coaches and athletic directors who emphasize the holistic development of their athletes.
“The relationship coaches have with their athletes often influences them for a lifetime,” said Terresa Bubbers, assistant professor of business and servant leadership who is co-facilitating the program with fellow faculty member Tom Thibodeau. “We want to support coaches in their passion for providing a culture fostering personal growth and a positive environment serving the whole athlete and their support community. We will also enhance abilities to reduce stress and burnout.”
This certificate program is comprised of five modules: Foundations of Servant Leadership, Art of Listening and Crucial Conversations, Emotional Intelligence, Building Community, and Rituals and Celebrations. The program includes lecture/learning videos, articles, discussion forums, journaling, and a coaching toolkit. There will be an optional virtual meeting each Wednesday. The time commitment for program completion is two to three hours per week.
The Viterbo Center for Professional Learning provides custom educational programs to a long list of prominent area businesses, health care organizations, and civic entities. Its mission is to inspire individuals, organizations, and communities by providing resources and skills for leadership, innovation, and growth.
