“THE SEARCH FOR MEANING” SEVEN-PART LECTURE SERIES WITH RICK KYTE BEGINS AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY SEPT. 8
LA CROSSE, Wis. – What makes a meaningful life? How do we distinguish the important from the trivial? How do we make our lives count? Explore the answers to these and other questions with Rick Kyte, Endowed Professor of Ethics at Viterbo University, with the seven-part lecture series “The Search for Meaning” beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8 in the Viterbo Reinhart Center room 134.
As society relies more upon technological aids to assist with work, education, and daily living, an increasing number of people are questioning what life is about. Kyte and audience members will explore the timeless ideas that guide people in the search for meaning.
“Life today provides countless opportunities for distraction but few opportunities for adding depth to our lives,” Kyte said. “This lecture series is an opportunity for exploring the key ideas that have added depth to human life for centuries.”
The lecture schedule and topics:
- Sept. 8: Truth
- Sept. 22: The Good
- Oct. 6: Love
- Oct. 20: The Soul
- Nov. 3: Beauty
- Nov. 17: Justice

All lectures in the series are free and open to the public. They will be held every other Monday from 6–7 p.m. in Reinhart Center 134. For a full schedule of D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership events, visit www.viterbo.edu/ethics.
