Major: Nursing

Year: Junior

Hometown: Mauston, Wisconsin

“I’ve always known I wanted a career where I could help people through their most vulnerable moments, which is exactly why I chose nursing. Someday, I hope to become an OB or Labor and Delivery nurse and be a steady, compassionate presence for families during some of their most meaningful experiences.

On campus, I’m involved in VSNA and the Honors Program. I chose Viterbo because I came from a small school and wanted that same close-knit environment in college. I also loved that Viterbo was far enough from home to help me grow but close enough to get back when I needed or wanted to.

The thing that has made Viterbo truly feel like home is the friends I’ve made here. Whether we’re studying together or taking walks to unwind, having people who support me has made all the difference.

What motivates me most is the future I want for myself. I’m working toward a life of stability, purpose, and the chance to make my family proud. No one has shaped me more than my mom, who has worked incredibly hard for everything she has and has never given up, no matter what life brings. Her strength is the kind I hope to carry into my own career.

Two of my favorite restaurants in La Crosse are Shogun Hibachi and Texas Roadhouse, and I love taking in the beautiful views at Grandad Bluff. My favorite class so far has been Microbiology with Dr. Luke Bussiere. My go-to food on campus is definitely the caf spaghetti with garlic bread or anything from Einstein’s.

Viterbo has helped me grow in all the right ways, and I’m grateful every day to be part of this community.”
