THE EVERLY SET: A CELEBRATION OF THE EVERLY BROTHERS AT THE WEBER CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS APRIL 5

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Enjoy the sparkling vocal harmonies of Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Suzie, and many other classic hits as acclaimed singer-song writers Sean Altman and Jack Skuller present The Everly Set: A Celebration of the Everly Brothers at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 5 in the Weber Center for the Performing Arts Lyche Theatre.

In 1957, teens Phil and Don Everly supercharged the vocal sound of Rock’n’Roll with incredible harmonies that would later influence The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Hollies, The Eagles, Peter Paul & Mary, and the Bee Gees.

Now, six decades later, Altman and Skuller, with a mind-bending three-decade age difference between them, “combine millennial pluck with baby-boomer sass” on Everly Brothers songs such as Cathy’s ClownAll I Have to Do Is DreamWhen Will I Be LovedCrying In The RainLove HurtsBird DogClaudetteWalk Right Back, and other hits and classics in concert.

Skuller signed his first recording contract at just 14 years old. His debut single Love is a Drum was called “arguably the best single released by anyone [that] year” by The Examiner. The New York Post labeled Skuller “a mini-Jack White.” His music career has since earned him a reputation for powerful live shows rooted in old school rock’n’roll. Ex-Rockapella star Altman is “tuneful and sharply witty” (Los Angeles Times) with “catchy melodies, clever arrangements and lyrics that yield satiric gems” (Washington Post). He has twice performed at the White House and has shared concert stages with Billy Joel, Steve Miller, Whoopi Goldberg, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Jay Leno, and Joey Ramone.

Tickets are $46, plus taxes and fees. For more information or to order tickets, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or visit www.viterbo.edu/tickets.
