In honor of National Library Week (see https://tinyurl.com/28up3pxt), this week we're featuring a database that we use to help select books for the library's collection, Resources for College Libraries, or RCL.

RCL covers the two- and four-year college curriculum, providing a list of core titles essential for undergraduate teaching and research. Co-published by the Association of College and Research Libraries’ Choice magazine and ProQuest, the RCL database is designed to connect high-quality titles to higher education institutions, all in an easy-to-use, responsive interface. You can use it to help you identify quality books in your field for research. Faculty, if you find a book in RCL that's still in print which the library doesn't already own and you think we should, please contact your department's Library Partner (https://tinyurl.com/VULibraryPartners) and let them know.

To begin using RCL, login via the library website under Research > Databases, or directly at https://tinyurl.com/VURCL.
