Win a $110,000 scholarship to study voice at Viterbo

The Viterbo University Conservatory for the Performing Arts invites talented high school seniors (Class of 2026) to enter the 2025 Solo Vocal Scholarship Competition.
One outstanding vocalist will receive a $110,000 scholarship ($27,500 per year for four years) toward a Bachelor of Music at Viterbo University in Vocal Performance or Music Education.


Key dates

  • Submission deadline: Friday, Nov. 28, 2025 by 11:59 p.m. CDT
  • Format: All-virtual submission (YouTube links)

Who is eligible

  • Current high school seniors graduating in 2026
  • Students who apply to Viterbo and are academically admitted before the scholarship deadline
  • Students must pursue a Bachelor of Music, choosing to concentrate in either vocal performance or music education.

Repertoire requirements

Submit two contrasting solo selections:

  • One classical work from standard vocal literature (for example, art song or aria)
  • One musical theatre selection or an additional classical work
  • Memorization required
  • Pianist accompaniment preferred, not required

Begin your video with a brief slate: full name, voice type, titles and composers, and intended degree

1) Apply to Viterbo

Complete your admission application and be accepted before the scholarship deadline (Friday, November 28, 2025).

2) Record and upload

Record your two selections in one take or as separate videos.
Upload to YouTube and set privacy to Unlisted.

3) Submit your entry online

Or email your YouTube link(s) to music@viterbo.edu by Nov. 28, 2025.
Include your full name, high school, voice type, and intended degree.

 


Award details

  • One scholarship package totaling $110,000 ($27,500 per year for four years)
  • Renewable each year with good academic standing and continued participation in the music program
  • Finalists may be contacted for a short virtual interview or additional performance review
