The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Post-graduate certificate program is ideal for graduates of master’s or DNP accredited primary care nurse practitioner programs in family or adult-gerontology population focus.  Certificate graduates are eligible to apply for either the AANP, ANCC, or AACN certification exam for this role. 

The eight-course (21 credit hour - five semesters) program includes two semesters of didactic coursework and three semesters (540 hours) clinical experiences.   Clinical opportunities may be available in your region. The program is financial aid (student loan) eligible, with competitive scholarships available for  post-graduate certificate students, the application is available after the first semester.

The superintendent track of the EdD in Ethical leadership brings together Viterbo University's expertise in servant leadership and education to instill ethical leadership in education to support our future administrators. The curriculum focuses on adult learning theory and is designed to increase instructor capacity to improve universal instruction and foster interpersonal relationships. This pathway is designed for students with a degree from an accredited DPD program. Students will complete a dietetic internship and also further their nutritional knowledge and skills through graduate-level coursework. Students will have the option of numerous electives in order to cater their degree to their particular area of interest. Dual Master’s and Dietetic Internship students can choose from a non-thesis clinical focus (48 credits) or a thesis track (39 credits). The clinical focus provides intensive supervised practice hours for students wanting additional patient care experience. The thesis track meets accreditation requirements for supervised practice hours while providing students with experience working one-on-one with a research advisor and conducting their own research.

This 63 credit hour pathway is designed for students that require foundational coursework to become a registered dietitian.  Further, students will obtain advanced nutrition skills through graduate coursework with an emphasis in their particular area of interest.  In addition, this track includes supervised practice, providing students with all experiences needed to take the registration exam to become a registered dietitian.  

This 30 credit hour pathway was designed to support dietetic/nutrition professionals with the advanced skills, knowledge and behaviors to grow within the field. This is an evidence-based program placing emphasis on disease prevention and management, while offering electives that allow you to focus in areas such as sports nutrition, a systems approach to obesity, nutrigenomics, or one that accentuates your current work. The variety of electives, and subsequent research project, offer you the flexibility to enhance your current practice or develop the expertise in a specific area of personal interest.

This Master of Science in Nursing (Direct Entry - DE MSN) degree at Viterbo University received approval from The Higher Learning Commission to launch in fall 2021.  

The DE MSN program is a 63-credit-hour program that blends online coursework with residential clinical experiences.  Designed in an accelerated full-time format the program is a lock-step sequence cohort model.

• 17 -credits of Clinicals and Skills Labs in-person in the La Crosse region throughout each semester

This M.S. in School Counseling degree at Viterbo University has received approval from The Higher Learning Commission. The program has Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) approval. The program does not have Council of Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) approval at this time. 

The Viterbo MS-SLP program is designed to meet all the requirements for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and for Wisconsin State Licensure for medical and/or educational practice as a speech-language pathologist.

Over the course of two years, students will gain an in-depth knowledge of the assessment, treatment, and challenges affecting individuals with communication disorders. The program provides a solid understanding of Deaf culture and the needs of diverse communities with in-person coursework and clinical experience. 

Program includes clinical experiences in health care facilities and schools .
 

Our Iowa PK-12 Principal -Supervisor of Special Education 189 is a two-year, six-semester program which requires an internship during each of the six semesters. The internship is conducted onsite with an approved mentor, which is usually the student's principal. This program meets the standards set by the Iowa Department of Education.

Strength-based approaches to servant leadership, mentoring, coaching, and staff development emphasize positive change and contribution to the common good. Through a sociocultural lens, reading specialist candidates explore district literacy policy to identify and draw upon the literacies and strengths of the educators, parents, and the communities they serve.

An online program that brings educators from across the state to share and unite through a progressive, modern approach to teaching and learning. Educators will develop a deep understanding of authentic instruction and assessment that focuses on the students’ lived experiences, literacies, and funds of knowledge. Asset-based approaches to understanding the influences of Global Englishes, family and community literacies, and social justice will provide educators with the ability to design instruction and assessment, and create spaces of possibility for students.

A program that develops well-prepared and dedicated educators who are willing to work in tandem with other members of the administrative team to achieve educational excellence through their work. Our program focuses on School Business Administrators as being central to the successful operations of a school district through their development of being proactive decision-makers who bring together knowledge and experience to make the best decisions for district funding.

A program that prepares educators who are grounded in Franciscan values and possess the knowledge and skills to be reflective decision-makers. The centerpiece for this two-year licensure program is ethical leadership, taught by our nationally recognized servant leadership professors who provide a unique blend of theory and practice in their courses. The PK–12 license permits the holder to serve as a superintendent (district administrator) in a PK–12 school district.
