Clinical Experience in Zamora, Spain
Zamora Spain Nursing Study Abroad

Program Overview
Partnering with University of Salamanca, Zamora Nursing Program, students will interact in the community by providing teaching on health topics and participation in the Solidad program. Participating in Solidad gives students opportunities to provide interventions to eliminate loneliness in the elderly community. This experience gives our students opportunities to make connections and promote mental and physical health with those in the community. Students will have opportunities to interact with nursing students in Spain and form connections that go beyond the two-week experience. Besides the clinical experience in Zamora, students are taken on day trips to explore other cities. In May 2025 we visited Segovia and Madrid. The trip encourages students to recognize the similarities and differences between life, healthcare, and culture and to expand their understanding of caring for all people.
