For Joe Paulauskis, Viterbo Launched an Impactful Life of Science
Since graduating from Viterbo with a biology degree, Joe Paulauskis '78 has led a remarkably impactful life of science, as a researcher, teacher, and innovative leader in industry and academia. Much of his work focused on using gene sequencing to maximize the efficacy of drug treatment and improve the logistics of cancer research.

Viterbo University to Hold Auditions for Title Role in "Amahl and the Night Visitors"
Viterbo University’s Conservatory for the Performing Arts will present the beloved one-act opera "Amahl and the Night Visitors" on Dec. 9–10 at the Cappella Performing Arts Center in downtown La Crosse. Live auditions for the role of Amahl will be held in mid-September.

Viterbo University Announces 2022 Recipients of the Saint John XXIII Award for Distinguished Service
Gerald Baldner, Mike Gostomski, Sr. Antona Schedlo, and Don and Roxanne Weber, all of whom have a long history of serving others and giving back to their communities, will be presented with the Viterbo University Saint John XXIII Award for Distinguished Service at a banquet and ceremony in the Fine Arts Center Tuesday, Sept. 20.
CCNE Accreditation of DEMSN and AG-ACNP Programs
On Oct. 12–14, 2022, the Viterbo University School of Nursing will host a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation visit and evaluation of our Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing program and our Adult Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP) Certificate program.

Denise Runge worked in traditional nursing roles for 15 years before a new calling came. Bringing her nursing background and training to a new ministry, she gave physical and spiritual comfort to people in Kenya living (and dying) with HIV and AIDS.
