Viterbo University and the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra are longtime community collaborators now partnering to raise funds to restore the two Steinway concert grand pianos in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center. These musical treasures were last restored 25 years ago, and with consistent playing and the effects of time—both are in need of restoration.
Each Steinway concert grand piano will undergo complete restoration under the care of a certified Steinway restorer in Illinois. The service process takes approximately six months for one piano to be returned to pinnacle performance.
The deep, rich music created from a Steinway concert grand piano brings inspiration and joy to the Viterbo campus, the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, and the greater La Crosse community—whether students or performing artists are at the keys, or arts patrons are taking in a lively performance.
