Plant and Insect
Two adjacent rooms in the garden level of the Reinhart Center are dedicated research spaces designed for growing plants and insects for faculty directed undergraduate research projects. These rooms contain state-of-the-art growth chambers allowing the faculty mentors to simulate multiple, precisely controlled environments to examine the interacting effects of genes and the environment. These Enconair growth chambers were purchased with the support of a National Science Foundation Major Research Instrumentation Grant (#0320911) awarded to Dr. Jennifer Sadowski and Dr. Glena Temple in 2003.
