Most will agree the autumn colors in Western Wisconsin have been beautiful. Leaves and temperatures are dropping, students and academic advisors are planning course schedules for next semester—sure signs the fall semester is coming to a close.
The 2014–15 Viterbo University One-of-a-Kind Chamber Music Series continues with Time Capsule II featuring the Artaria String Quartet at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.
Last Monday, Emilio Alvarez, campus ministry, and students enrolled in VUSM 300 course, Serving the Common Good, loaded up food which was to go to locales such as Place of Grace, the La Crosse Warming Center, and Centro Latino. The food was part of a 12,500-pound donation from Festival Foods and Burnstad’s Markets which was announced at a press conference just prior to the distribution activity.
The holidays will soon be upon us and this means family gatherings, Christmas parties, sweet treats, and warm drinks. What better time to maintain your physical activity or start a New Year’s Resolution.
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Two Viterbo alumni with significant leadership roles in the grocery business have stepped forward to donate 12,500 pounds of food as part of Viterbo’s 125th anniversary food drive and have now challenged the university community to match this amount.
The Viterbo community and the general public are invited to salute Wisconsin Veterans past and present with events at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Tuesday, Nov. 11.
