Artist Workshop

Art students applied colored tape to the floor of the Viterbo University Gallery as part of a workshop with guest artist Patrick Schmidt. Schmidt’s exhibit, “Digitizing Myth: Archetypes and Identities” will be on display in the gallery until Oct. 30.

Celebrate the Feast of St. Francis Oct. 2–3

Friday, Oct. 2

11:15 a.m. St. Francis Day Mass and Prelude – Maria Angelorum Chapel. Limited seating. Classes will be cancelled from 11:15 a.m.–1:15 p.m. to encourage student and employee participation in the celebration in honor of St. Francis and to encourage Mass attendance for all. Music will be performed by the 9th Street Singers, the Viterbo Concert Choir, and the FSPA Schola Choir. Fr. Conrad Targonski will preside at the liturgy.

FSPA and FSC to host Pope2Congress Watch Party Sept. 24

The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and the Franciscan Spirituality Center will host a Pope2Congress Watch Party Thursday, Sept. 24, joining thousands of viewers across the country in witnessing Pope Francis' historic address to a joint session of U.S. Congress, the first ever by a pope.

Hispanic Heritage Month Reception Wednesday

The Viterbo community is invited to attend a reception celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from 5–7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 in the Reinhart Center Board Room.

Patriot Day

The flags in Assisi Courtyard were lowered to half staff by veteran and student Scott Stene to honor the victims of Sept. 11, 2001.

State of the University Forum Tomorrow

Employees are invited to attend the State of the University Forum at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

President Rick Artman will present information on university finances for 2014–15 and projections for 2015–16.

Constitution Day Presentation Thursday

The Viterbo community is invited to attend the Constitution Day presentation “Voting Rights Under the American Constitutional Order” at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 in Reinhart Center 127.

Keith Knutson, history, will examine the expansion and attempted restrictions on voting rights in America throughout the history of the country.
