VITERBO UNIVERSITY CONSERVATORY FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS TO PRESENT DANCE KALEIDOSCOPE 2023 APRIL 28–30
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Enjoy the best in student dance as the Viterbo University Conservatory for the Performing Arts presents Dance Kaleidoscope 2023 Friday, April 28–Sunday, April 30 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
Dance Kaleidoscope 2023 is the culminating performance for students completing their dance minor degree requirements. The show is student choreographed and designed with faculty mentorship and features a wide variety of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. Numbers range from a duet to an ensemble of 11.
“It’s been really exciting to see the students’ vision come to life,” said Viterbo faculty member Shane Rhoades, the director of the production. “They are super creative and have done a great job.”
Creating Dance Kaleidoscope 2023 has been a collaborative process between student choreographers, student designers, and faculty and staff from the dances to the lighting, costuming, set design, and other design elements.
“Collaboration is the cornerstone to all creative endeavors, and it is beautiful to see these artists share their talents with each other for the purpose of enriching the lives of those they present their work to,” Rhoades said. “We are proud to have shared the studio, stage, and shop with these thoughtful and talented individuals, and we are confident you will thoroughly enjoy their work.”
Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30. Dance Kaleidoscope 2023 will be divided into two different programs. Section I will be presented April 28 at 7:30 p.m. and April 29 at 2 p.m. and Section II will be performed April 29 at 7:30 p.m. and April 30 at 2 p.m.
