LA CROSSE, Wis. – President Rick Trietley announced today several key leadership promotions and updates at Viterbo University. Effective Wednesday, July 1:
- Tonya Wagner, vice president for academic affairs and institutional effectiveness, will be promoted to Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Enrollment. This new role reflects the scope of responsibility across academic leadership and enrollment strategy and brings greater alignment to these closely connected areas.
- Bob Van Wicklin, vice president for advancement, will serve as Vice President for Advancement, Marketing, and Communications. This structure supports stronger coordination across external engagement, brand strategy, and philanthropic efforts.
- Dcn. Emilio Alvarez will become Viterbo’s Executive Director of Campus Ministry and University Chaplain. Fr. Conrad Targonski will transition to a part-time role as assistant chaplain and continue to support campus ministry.
- Nicole Van Ert will assume the permanent role of Dean of the College of Business, Leadership and Ethics and Executive Director of the Center for Professional Learning. She is currently serving as the interim dean.
- Alyssa Gostonczik will become Assistant Vice President for Academic Success and will now oversee TRIO in addition to the Hub for Student Success, which includes academic resources, advising, career development and accessibility services. She currently directs Viterbo’s HUB for Student Success.
