LA CROSSE, Wis. – One of the most popular string ensembles in the world, Vitamin String Quartet (VSQ), will perform The Music of Taylor Swift, Bridgerton, and Beyond at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
VSQ had helped establish classical crossover as a genuine force in contemporary music long before high-profile placements in the smash Netflix show Bridgerton. Having now reached a mainstream, global audience according to Variety, VSQ performs spellbinding renditions of everything from Billie Eilish to BTS, Taylor Swift to The Weeknd, and Danny Elfman to Daft Punk that’s erasing the boundaries between classical, dance, hip-hop, and pop.
Praised by media outlets such as Buzzfeed, The New York Times, Consequence of Sound, Nerdist and more, VSQ has garnered over 2 billion streams and had seven albums charting on both Billboard Classical and Classical Crossover charts. They can also be heard in numerous hit TV shows, including Bridgerton, HBO’s Westworld, and ABC’s Modern Family.
“VSQ’s atmospheric hits have made classical versions of pop music cool,” wrote the New York Observer. According to Nylon, “VSQ charmed the world with their classical covers.”
This performance is sponsored by Life Time Financial Services and Dairyland Power Cooperative.
