SPIRIT OF THE DRIFTLESS: PRESERVING OUR LEGACY DOCUMENTARY SCREENING AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY SEPT. 23

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Enjoy a serene but powerful journey through the rugged landscapes, hidden underworlds, ancient archaeology, rare habitats, and vibrant wildlife of the unglaciated Driftless Region with the premiere of the short documentary Spirit of the Driftless: Preserving Our Legacy at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Spirit of the Driftless was created by two-time regional Emmy Award winners Tim Jacobson and the late George Howe of Sustainable Driftless, Inc., Emmy winner Jonas Stenstrom, and national TV host Rob Nelson of Untamed Science to capture the beauty and essence of the Driftless Region’s natural wonders and archaeological heritage.

According to the creators of the film, Spirit of the Driftless will open eyes and hearts to the region as never before as viewers explore soaring cliffs above the Mississippi River, spring-fed trout streams, and subterranean realms of caves and sinkholes.

The runtime of the film is 27 minutes. A discussion and reception with the filmmakers will follow the screening.
