THE SIMON AND GARFUNKEL STORY COMES TO THE VITERBO UNIVERSITY FINE ARTS CENTER APRIL 26

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Enjoy a show that includes the live performance of nearly 30 iconic hits, state-of-the art video projection, and original photos and film footage as The Simon and Garkunkel Story comes to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26.

The Simon and Garfunkel Story chronicles the amazing journey of the folk-rock duo Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, from their humble beginnings as Tom and Jerry, to their incredible success as one of the best-selling music acts of the 1960s, to their dramatic split in 1970. The show will include all the duo’s classic hits, including Mrs. RobinsonCeciliaBridge Over Troubled Water, The Sound of Silence, and Homeward Bound. It will culminate with the famous “The Concert in Central Park” reunion in 1981 that had more than half a million fans in attendance.

With more than 100 million album sales since 1965, Simon and Garfunkel’s perfect harmonies and songs that poignantly captured the times made them one of the most successful folk-rock duos of all time. They received 10 Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. In 2003, Simon and Garfunkel were awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

This performance is part of Viterbo University’s Bright Star Season and is sponsored by Leighton Broadcasting.
