REGISTER FOR THE ANNUAL VITERBO UNIVERSITY SERVANT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE AT THE WEBER CENTER JUNE 26–27
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Now in its 22nd year, Viterbo University’s annual Conference on Servant Leadership will bring together professionals from across sectors to explore the power of purpose-driven leadership. This year’s conference, held June 26–27 at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts, is themed Passion and Purpose and focuses on how leaders can align personal inspiration with organizational vision to build cultures of trust, collaboration, and growth.
Viterbo University has been a national leader in advancing servant leadership for more than two decades. Rooted in empathy, humility, and ethical stewardship, servant leadership challenges conventional models of power by emphasizing the leader’s responsibility to serve others first. The 2025 conference will highlight how these principles translate into tangible leadership practices that inspire teams and transform communities.
“This gathering is an opportunity for people to reflect deeply on what truly matters in their work,” said Tom Thibodeau, Distinguished Professor of Servant Leadership at Viterbo. “When leaders serve with passion and align it with a higher purpose, they build organizations where people flourish—and that’s where transformation begins.”
Throughout the two-day event, attendees will engage with renowned thought leaders, scholars, and practitioners from nonprofit organizations, business, health care, education, ministry, and government. Sessions will feature the latest research, practical strategies, and compelling stories of servant leadership in action.
Nicole Van Ert, Executive Director of the Center for Professional Learning at Viterbo University, emphasized the inclusive and practical nature of the event: “Whether you’re just beginning your servant leadership journey or have been practicing it for years, this conference offers valuable insight, inspiration, and community. It’s a space where leaders grow together—personally and professionally.”
Held at the scenic Weber Center along the Mississippi River, the conference offers a reflective and inspiring setting for connection and renewal.
