NURSE BLAKE TO BRING SHOCK ADVISED NATIONAL TOUR TO VITERBO UNIVERSITY NOV. 9

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viral sensation Nurse Blake will bring his national stand-up comedy Shock Advised Tour to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. This performance is part of the upcoming 2024–25 Bright Star season.

Nurse Blake is a nurse, creator, advocate, touring comedian, and viral sensation. From nursing school to the bedsides of patients, he uses his unique experiences for a fun-filled comedy event that celebrates the hard work of health care providers.

From an early age, he knew he wanted to be a nurse and started working as a patient transporter at 17. Nurse Blake graduated with a BSN in 2014 from UCF in Orlando. In 2013, he started Banned4Life to end the permanent FDA gay blood ban, which ultimately contributed to the lifetime ban being lifted in 2015. Driven by an intense desire to effect meaningful change in health care, Nurse Blake’s commitment extends beyond policy work. He shares his personal narrative with remarkable candor, embodying transparency and courage. Immediately after graduating, he jumped right into what he thought would be his forever career, working in level 1 trauma centers around the country in a variety of nursing roles. Unbeknownst to him, his interest in social media that had developed during school would shift his career 180 degrees.

He has connected nurses and nursing students together from around the world, currently entertaining nearly 4M followers on social media. Fans worldwide know Nurse Blake from his viral videos and now he takes his comedy to the stages around the world bringing nurses together through his humor and inspiration. His Shock Advised Comedy Tour features live skits, videos, and interactive stories drawn from his real-life. There is an age restriction of 16 and older for language and mature content.
