March 12, 2020 — Fine Arts Center Message

Greetings from the Fine Arts Center,

There is an understandably high level of concern as the coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads, and we, along with Viterbo University officials, are closely monitoring the situation as it evolves. Although there have been no confirmed cases in La Crosse County, the health and safety of our patrons, students, and staff is our first priority.

On March 12, the University recommended that large events, including all performances in the Fine Arts Center and all Viterbo University productions at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts, be cancelled or postponed through April 8. At this time, we are announcing the postponement of the following performances:

  • Goitse (scheduled  for March 17)
  • Night Fever (scheduled for March 21)
  • Beethoven Project 2020 (scheduled for March 22-24)
  • Jim Witter’s The Long and Winding Road (scheduled for March 29)
  • Make Me a Song (scheduled for April 1-4)
  • A Grand Night for Singing (scheduled for April 2-5)

Our hope is to reschedule as many of these performances as possible, but it may take some time to determine when those performances may occur. We will reevaluate the situation in early April and make a determination about any future performances. More information will be communicated once that decision has been made.

We understand that this news will be very disappointing to many, as it is for us. If your performance is postponed, your tickets will be automatically transferred to the new date, and you will be contacted by the Box Office with the new performance date and time. If your performance is cancelled, you will be contacted by the Box Office to discuss the following options:

  1. You will have the opportunity to exchange your tickets to another performance (fees may apply for performances that are priced differently).
  2. You will have the opportunity to exchange your tickets to a gift certificate to be used for future performances, including events next season.
  3. You may donate the cost of your tickets to the Stars of the Arts fund to help with future programming.
  4. You may request a refund.

We will be contacting all ticket holders for these events in the coming days, but if you should have questions in the meantime, please contact the Box Office at 608-796-3100 or boxoffice@viterbo.edu. Most Sincerely,
The Viterbo University Fine Arts Center
