2023-24 Applying for Financial Aid at Viterbo New Students

Apply For Financial Aid For Fall 2023/Spring 2024

  • Scholarship opportunities exist for most new undergraduate students. Over 98% of new students receive some financial aid!
  • To determine eligibility for need-based federal, state, or Viterbo grants, federal student loans, and work-study, we encourage all U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, and other eligible students to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year.
    • The 2023-24 FAFSA becomes available Oct. 1, 2022 and must be filed by Viterbo's Feb. 1, 2023 priority date to ensure maximum eligibility and consideration for all aid opportunities.
    • Aid applications will be accepted after Feb. 1, but aid could be limited. Failure to provide other information within 30 days of the first request for the information may also result in less aid.
    • Viterbo's Federal School Code: 003911
    • If you have already submitted the 2023-24 FAFSA, please continue to read below for more important information.
  • ESTIMATED financial aid offers will be mailed, starting in early November 2022, to new undergraduate first-year and transfer students who are admitted for Fall 2023 AND have a valid FAFSA result on file with Viterbo.
  • OFFICIAL financial aid offers will follow, starting in March 2023, and will be sent via the student’s Viterbo email account.
  • Please review the 2023-24 Financial Aid Checklist for further important steps.

Communications from The Financial Aid Office

  • Emails from the Financial Aid Office are sent only to the student’s Viterbo email account. Check your Viterbo email regularly!
  • If students want parents, guardians, spouses, or another supporter to have access to their financial aid or billing information, they first need to grant that proxy access.
  • For students not yet enrolled at Viterbo, postal mail is sent to the address the student provided to Admissions. For enrolled students, during regular Viterbo semesters, postal mail is sent to the student’s local or campus address on record with the Registrar’s Office. During vacation periods, including all semester breaks and the summer months, student mail is sent to the home/preferred address that the student has provided to the Registrar’s Office. Students are advised to keep their mailing information current at all times.
