Circulation Assistants
Opening, afternoon, and evening shifts are available at the Library's Main Desk. Circulation Assistants are responsible for providing excellent customer service at the Main Desk in person and via e-mail and phone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Checking library materials in and out
- Processing interlibrary loan requests
- Shelving
- Organizing
- Cleaning
- Data entry
- Occasional cataloging processing assistance
- Other clerical duties as assigned
This position is flexible with class schedules. A variety of shifts are available in the morning, evening, late night and weekends.
Students will gain insider knowledge regarding research strategy, study room sign up, and interlibrary loan. You will also learn time management and responsibility, critical thinking/problem solving skills, balancing priorities, interpersonal communication, customer service, working with people from diverse backgrounds, working as part of a team, and developing professional relationships.
Applicants should have good communication skills (written and verbal), be positive and respectful in working with diverse populations, an understanding of Microsoft Office, commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle multiple assignments.
Shifts: Scheduled between 8 a.m.—10 p.m. Monday—Thursday, 8 a.m.—5 p.m. Friday, and 2—10 p.m. Sunday.

All new work study students are immediately waitlisted until their payroll forms and copies of IDs are completed and turned into the Payroll Office Murphy 201. Once these are turned in, students who are moved off of the waitlist from the Financial Aid office will receive their Work Authorization forms and application instructions via e-mail. Once a student is hired, they should return the Work Authorization form to Financial Aid or the supervisor should e-mail it. YOU ARE NOT HIRED UNTIL THIS FORM IS COMPLETE.
