VITERBO UNIVERSITY MOVES PRIORITY DEPOSIT DATE FOR FALL 2020 CLASS TO JULY 1
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University has moved its priority deposit date for the fall 2020 class from May 1 to July 1.
May 1 is the National Candidate Reply Date, sometimes also called “decision day,” or the date by which students must notify colleges and universities if they will accept their offer of admission. To accept an offer of admission at Viterbo, students are asked to submit a deposit of $100 if living off-campus or $200 if living on-campus. At Viterbo, May 1 has also been the date to receive a refund on deposits.
“We’re pushing this important decision day back to July 1 to show extra support for students as they try to navigate choosing the right college for them during this stressful time,” said Brian Weber, director of admissions at Viterbo. “We hope the extra flexibility will help put the minds of students and families at ease so they can focus on everything that has changed so rapidly in the last few weeks. We’ll be here for them when they’re ready to make the decision to join us in the fall.”
While spring campus visits and events have been cancelled in light of COVID-19, students are being invited to interact with admissions staff and the University in new ways via virtual meetings at www.viterbo.edu/visit and a virtual campus tour at www.viterbo.edu/virtualtour.
“The college decision-making process has been turned on its head, but we’re still here to counsel and support students and area educators about the wonderful outcomes of a Viterbo education,” Weber said. “As evidenced by our 100% placement rate, a Viterbo education helps remove barriers, so it is only fitting that we try to do so for our incoming students as well. We will support prospective students through this transition.”
