This course provides an introductory overview of students' acquisition of language. Candidates will explore the interdependence of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Topics covered will include comprehension, background knowledge, strategic reading, and strategies for teaching critical skills in the four named areas. Field experience hours required. This course is restricted to students in the professional degree completion program.
