WALTER HAAG TO PRESENT “LEADERSHIP LESSONS FROM
BUSINESS AND THE MILITARY” AS PART OF VITERBO LEADERSHIP AT NOON SERIES MARCH

CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Leadership at Noon series will
conclude for the academic year with Walter Haag as he presents “Leadership
Lessons from Business and the Military” Monday, March 24 in Reinhart Center
room 107.

Haag served as director of the Periodic
Health Assessment for Logistics Health, Inc. for seven years. He was part of
the team that secured two government contracts and was responsible for
budgeting, employee evaluations, staff recruitment, contract compliance,
management, training and quality assurance.

Haag served 20 years as an active
duty soldier in the U.S. Army and 17 more in the U.S. Army Reserve. Haag served
as a Liaison Officer for a Regional Readiness Command (25,000 soldiers); as the
director of Regional Site – Medical, developing training modules and programs;
as contracting officer’s representative he was instrumental in the compliance
of the contract for the entire Army Reserve; and as director of Reserve Affairs
for the Office of the Surgeon General in the Pentagon. As a medic and an
administrator, he was able to oversee programs for Medical Units and soldiers
as they trained and prepared for wartime duty.

The Viterbo Leadership at Noon series
features business leaders discussing the key values that contribute to
successful business practices.

All Leadership at Noon events are
held from noon–1 p.m. in the Reinhart Center and are free and open to the
public. Audience members are welcome to bring their own lunch or purchase a
boxed lunch for $5. The Leadership at Noon series is sponsored by the D.B.
Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership and the Dahl School of Business at
Viterbo University.
