VITERBO UNIVERSITY’S PLATINUM EDITION SHOW CHOIR AND GUESTS TO PRESENT CELEBRATION 2016 APRIL 2

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University’s renowned Platinum Edition show choir and special guests will present an evening of great singing and dancing with their annual variety performance Celebration 2016 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

“The show will be great,” said director of Platinum Edition and Viterbo music faculty member Nancy Allen. “Everyone who enjoys excellent singing and dancing will love it.”

Celebration 2016 will feature a wide variety of rock, pop, and Broadway music. The show will feature a special Coulee Region All-Star Show Choir performance of Pinball Wizard from The Who musical Tommy, with choreography by Viterbo faculty member Shane Rhoades.

Other guest performers will include Tonal II, a men’s a cappella group, students from Onalaska Middle School, and the cast members of upcoming Viterbo musicals Altar Boyz and Shout. Professional musicians from the La Crosse area will serve as the back-up band for the performance. Viterbo faculty member Matt Campbell will be the emcee and a featured soloist.

Celebration 2016 is the 17th spring show for Platinum Edition. The group is nationally known in show choir circles and has performed across the U.S. including New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, and Branson, Mo.
