VITERBO LEADERSHIP AT NOON SERIES TO FEATURE GE HEALTHCARE DIGITAL VP FOR PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER EXCELLENCE NOV. 13

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Cynthia Hougum, GE Healthcare Digital vice president for Product and Customer Excellence, will speak as part of the Viterbo University Leadership at Noon series Tuesday, Nov. 13 in Reinhart Center room 107.

Hougum has been with the General Electric Corporation for 25 years, working on business transformation and turnarounds across three industries and seven divisions, including acquisition integrations, product management, research and development, and business digitization. She believes teamwork is crucial to any successful business, and she considers it a privilege to have successfully led large teams in eight countries during three expatriate assignments that honed her global approach to leadership and business.

Hougum graduated magna cum laude with a degree in chemistry from Viterbo University and earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from Duke University. She is a member of Duke University’s Graduate School Board of Visitors. Hougum received the GE Health Care President’s Award for the development of the global life sciences India market and engineering organization. She was one of the founding members of the GE Healthcare’s Women in Technology initiative and currently leads the GE Girls STEM camp at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

All Leadership at Noon series events are held from noon–1 p.m. in the Reinhart Center and are free and open to the public. Audience members are welcome to bring their own lunch or purchase a boxed lunch for $5. The Leadership at Noon series is sponsored by the D.B.
