Rec Sports will be visiting the Caf and the Student Union Thursday, Nov. 19 to celebrate the Great American Smokeout.

Did you know Viterbo has been smoke free for more than a year already? If you are looking for information for yourself, to help someone finally quit smoking, or to stop them from starting, stop by Rec Sports’ information table in the Caf from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. or in the Student Union from 3–5 p.m. Free QuitKits are available.

Tobacco Use Facts

  • More than 16 million Americans are living with a disease caused by smoking.
  • Smoking is a known cause of erectile dysfunction in males.
  • Worldwide, tobacco use causes nearly 6 million deaths per year, and current trends show that tobacco use will cause more than 8 million deaths annually by 2030.
