 Students,

  • As of yesterday, La Crosse County has had no new COVID-19 cases in 13 days.  All 26 diagnosed cases in the county are considered recovered.
  • While the Student Leadership Recognition Ceremony will not happen in its usual capacity, we will be honoring our students in a modified format to recognize the work of outstanding students. Starting Monday, April 27th at 2:00pm, we will be sharing video clips and stories from nominators regarding a different award winner or winners each day on our Student Life Facebook page.  There is also a page on Viterbo website dedicated to celebrating our award winners. Be sure to check it out next week!
  • Viterbo Hello: Viterbo employees have recorded some brief messages for students. Here are two that have been submitted. Greetings from Jane Eddy and Emilio Alvarez
  • The Viterbo Cares line is staffed Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you or your parents have questions for someone at Viterbo and don’t know where to start, the care line is a good place to begin. You can connect via email viterbocares@viterbo.edu or phone (608) 796-3211.
  • Student Emergency Fund  As we continue to offer our assistance to you we want you to know that we continue to look out for your academic and spiritual needs as well as helping you stay on track to reach your goal of completing your college degree.  Part of reaching that goal centers on financial assistance. Challenging days may be before us as additional stressors of lost income due to places of employment closing or hours for part-time jobs being reduced.  This may mean less access to food, difficulty paying rent, or other financial burdens.  Please know that Viterbo cares and this fund may help!

  • If you and/or your parent(s) or guardian have unusual circumstances which could affect your ability to contribute to college expenses, you may qualify for a re-evaluation of financial aid eligibility. Unusual circumstances include, but are not limited to, things such as:  changes to earned income (i.e., loss of job, retirement, death), legal separation/divorce after filing FAFSA, paid out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance, K-12 tuition paid for student’s siblings or dependents, parent’s own student loans/PLUS Loans for another student.  If you believe you have these types of circumstances, complete the special circumstance form or contact the Financial Aid Office to find out more.
  • The deadline for the Cr/NC option for this term is Friday, May 8. Students should reach out to their advisor to review this option and its impact on degree requirements. More information and steps to request Cr/NC for coursework can be found on the Registrar’s website.
  • Students who have not yet registered should work with their advisor for approval and course selection. Students who are seeking schedule changes are able to make those in Student Planning through the first week of the fall term.
  • The Center for Student Success will continue to be available during the summer months to respond to student questions and needs. Students are encouraged to email studenthelp@viterbo.edu or call 608-796-3084; staff are always happy to assist.
  • The Student Life team has established a hub for you to remain engaged with campus. https://www.viterbo.edu/student-life/virtual-v-hawks-connect-main-hub

Be safe.
