Patrick Barr-Melej, PhD is the executive director of the interdisciplinary Center for International Studies, professor of history at Ohio University (Athens, Ohio), and currently serves as the Latin America series editor for Ohio University Press. Barr-Melej's scholarship focuses on the political and cultural history of Chile in the latest 19th and 20th centuries. He earned a PhD from the University of California at Berkeley, with a specialization in Latin American history.
