This Is Us: New Events Celebrating the Class of 2022
About 140 graduating seniors joined Viterbo University President Rick Trietley May 12 for the debut of Senior Soiree with the President. For photos from the event, check out the Flickr gallery.

Viterbo's 2022 spring commencement will offer two new celebrations of our graduates, events intended to become time-honored traditions.

Senior Soirée with the President: Viterbo President Rick Trietley is inviting all undergraduate candidates for graduation to join him for dinner from 5:30–7 p.m. Thursday, May 12. Students should have received invitations from the president's office with details and instructions on how to register.

Sending and Blessing Ceremony: Viterbo has a tradition of conducting a welcoming ceremony for incoming students. This year, the university is starting a new tradition, a candlelight Sending and Blessing Ceremony on Assisi Courtyard that with the welcoming ceremony will bookend the Viterbo experience for students. This inaugural Sending and Blessing Ceremony starts at 8 p.m. Friday, May 13, the eve of commencement, with a reception in the Fine Arts Center FSPA lobby after the ceremony. Undergraduate candidates for graduation are invited to take part, as are family members of those graduating.
