    In the Japanese town of Titipu, Nanki-Poo woos the beautiful maiden Yum-Yum. Flirting is a crime according to the Mikado, and the rest of the town, including Pooh-Bah, the Lord High Executioner, Pish-Tush, Peep-Bo, Pitti-Sing, and Katisha make for a rollicking series of hilarious musical and dramatic intrigues.

    In commemoration of the 125th anniversary of Viterbo University (1890–2015), this year’s One-of-a-Kind Chamber Music Series will feature works written in 1889–1890. This performance will  showcase the talent of the Viterbo music department faculty,  including Diana Cataldi, Mary Ellen Haupert, Dan Johnson-Wilmot, David Richardson, Jean Saladino, Ann Schoenecker, and Judy Stafslien.

    Two young star crossed lovers, embedded in rival gangs of different ethnic backgrounds, struggle to create a world in which their love can flourish in this passionate and dangerous musical. The Viterbo theatre and music theatre department will present a concert version of this timeless story.
