This introductory, non-performance dance course provides the participant with an overview of dance history, style, form, and aesthetics, with the primary purpose of providing a greater understanding and appreciation of various diverse dance forms. The course may include a limited number of practical dance activities to further demonstrate various styles and forms of dance discussed, including ballet, jazz, tap, music theatre, and social dance.
