Scott Mihalovic to Lead Viterbo Educational Leadership Program

Scott Mihalovic, a longtime and highly respected principal with the La Crosse School District has been named Viterbo University’s Wisconsin
Educational Leadership Program Coordinator.

In his new position, Mihalovic will be in charge of programs which provide educational training for individuals interested in becoming principals, superintendents, or directors of student services or instruction. Nearly 300 educators are currently enrolled in these programs provided by Viterbo. His start date has not been finalized.

He succeeds Jim Bagniewski who is retiring from the position in August.

“We are delighted to welcome Scott to Viterbo,” said Barbara Gayle, Ph.D, Viterbo’s vice president for academic affairs.  “His level of expertise and the trust other educators have in him is outstanding. He will be an excellent mentor for aspiring administrators who will impact many lives in the schools where they serve.”

Mihalovic has served as principal of Logan High School since 1998. He has been a member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse Board of Directors for the past 23 years, serving as president as well as on several of the club’s committees. He is an active member of the Logan Alumni Association and Logan Booster Club. In addition, he
has served on the La Crosse County Public Health Community Advisory Council and Junior Achievement Board.
