Accounting Degree Completion
This classroom and online program is designed to build on the practical experience of students by allowing generous credit transfer and incorporating the quantitative skills students already have. While most students come with an associate degree in accounting already completed, there are options for students making a change to the accounting field. Students in the accounting degree completion program study managerial finance, marketing, human resource management, auditing, consolidations, and the legal aspects of financial transactions. Graduates of this program find careers in auditing, banking, tax preparation and planning, cost accounting, and financial accounting.
Associate of Arts/Science
Busy adult learners who want to pursue a degree and launch or advance their career can take advantage of this opportunity to complete a fully Online Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree. This program allows for flexible start dates and personalized advising and support services. It is a two-year program with broad coverage of the liberal arts. Graduates are prepared to take on additional responsibilities in their workplace, communicate effectively with their co-workers and customers, and think critically.
BSN Completion (blended or online)
Employers are showing a preference for nurses to be educated at a baccalaureate level. The curriculum in our BSN Completion program has been created to provide the framework for the 21st century nurse, who has already completed an ADN, but wants to complete a bachelor’s degree. It emphasizes patient-centered care, inter-professional communication, professional values, evidence-based practice, patient safety, and critical thinking in an increasingly complex health care system. Our blended program offers all nursing courses in one of four classroom locations throughout Wisconsin, with the core curriculum courses being offered online. We also have a fully online program to meet the needs of students who need the added flexibility of schedule.
Criminal Justice Administration
Students in this program learn about the structure and function of the criminal justice system and other advanced criminal justice topics, while also gaining the management skills needed for career advancement. Graduates of the criminal justice administration program are able to work in management and supervision, administration, probation and parole, corrections, investigations, juvenile justice, social services, victim advocacy, law enforcement, and teaching.
Health Care Management
Students in the health care management program gain in-depth knowledge of the legal and ethical issues that arise in an increasingly complex health care environment. They will learn about health care informatics, quality improvement, and marketing, in addition to the economic aspects of health care. Graduates of this program find careers in ambulatory care centers, pharmaceutical companies, home health care organizations, physicians’ offices, hospitals and clinics, nursing homes, retirement communities, and rehabilitation and long-term care facilities.
Management Information Systems
Businesses require leaders who have the ability to deal with increasingly complex information systems. This program will prepare you to lead technical projects and teams in the strategic and ethical use of information systems. Graduates of the management information systems program find careers in business, government, and education in a variety of information systems roles.
Become a visionary leader in your organization by gaining skills as a strategic thinker who is also concerned with serving the common good. This program’s curriculum includes human resource management, managerial accounting, marketing, finance, social responsibility, sustainability, and ethical leadership within a liberal studies environment. Graduates of the organizational management program work in a variety of fields, including banking, business administration, manufacturing, government, health care, insurance, non-profit agencies, and retail.
Students who have previously earned military credit, college credit at other institutions, or have credit for prior learning will find that this major makes maximum use of their prior learning experiences and applies them towards completion of a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies degree. This program allows for flexible start dates, full-time or part-time attendance, and a generous transfer credit policy. You select two disciplines of interest, and your past learning cultivates greater depth in your chosen focus areas.
